Design concept: "Values and Philosophy"
Cooee was founded in 2008 in Småland, southern Sweden.
Inspired by the rich nature, urban life, and art, the brand offers a wide range of products, including porcelain flower vases, candle stands, objects, furniture, and more.
This brand is known for its sophisticated, minimalist, timeless designs and calming earth tones, which are typical of Scandinavia. All of its porcelain products, including the brand's iconic Ball Vase, are handmade. Finished with a unique glaze, its matte, silky smooth texture has become a symbol of the brand.

Manufacturing Process and Materials
Cooee Design places great importance on manufacturing that is considerate of people and the environment. Our fundamental principle is to respect human rights and working conditions throughout the supply chain and deliver safe and reliable products. In addition, to reduce the environmental impact of manufacturing and transportation, we are working to reduce CO₂ emissions, use sustainable materials, and introduce circular designs.
The main material, ceramic (porcelain), is naturally derived, highly durable, and has a timeless beauty. Aiming for designs that will be loved for a long time, we also propose ways to repair and reuse. Furthermore, we use FSC-certified wood and paper products, contributing to forest conservation.
We have also reviewed the packaging used to protect our products, achieving a reduction in materials used of approximately 74% over the four years from 2018 to 2021, while still protecting our delicate products. We partner with a trusted factory in Asia that has a tradition of high-quality ceramic manufacturing,
We work with external auditing agency Amfori/BSCI to ensure we are socially and environmentally responsible.

Reason for deciding to work with
Cooee Design

We first encountered Cooee Design when the brand approached us to become their distributor in Japan. From the beginning, we were drawn to their simple, minimalist forms and soft colors, which embody a distinctly Scandinavian feel.
We felt that our worldview would naturally harmonize with Ferm Living, which we represented at the time, and that combining the two brands would further strengthen and expand our business. Moreover, based on our previous experience representing the Danish ceramics brand Kahler Design and our CEO’s background at Royal Copenhagen, we were convinced there was a significant opportunity for Scandinavian ceramic design in the Japanese market.
In addition, Cooee Design offers a wide range of products, not only ceramic vases, but also wooden accessories and furniture. We also saw strong potential in their ability to provide a complete interior design solution. Their price range is also well-suited to the Japanese market, and we believed that many customers would be eager to incorporate their products into their homes.
