Design concept: "Values and Philosophy"
As the Japanese term "forest bathing" suggests, breathing in the forest air and listening to the birds and the wind rustling the trees calms the mind and improves concentration and the quality of sleep. Teemu Järvi's art is just like forest bathing. Aiming to create products that can be used for a long time, his classic and timeless designs are centered around the animals and plants he actually encountered in the Finnish wilderness.
Having explored the forests and lakes of Finland, Järvi has gained firsthand knowledge of the wildlife and, using traditional tools such as reed pens, creates art that invites us into the tranquility that nature brings. His art is imbued with the desire to inspire viewers with a sense of happiness and peace, and to deepen their respect for nature.

Manufacturing Process and Materials
The poster design is drawn using the traditional reed pen and ink technique. The reed pens used are handmade by Teemu Järvi himself from reeds collected from Finnish lakes, and nature is depicted using nature.
All paper products, such as posters, and wooden products are produced in Finland and are made from FSC-certified materials, which guarantee responsible forest management. We also use environmentally friendly materials in our other products.

Reason for deciding to work with

We began introducing Paper Collective posters in Japan with the desire to spread the culture of incorporating art into daily life. Through this activity, we have come to strongly realize the power that art can have on daily life.
It was along this line that I came across the Finnish artist Teemu Järvi. His work is characterized by brushstrokes using a reed pen and ink, and by motifs of nature such as forests and animals, and I felt that it resonated deeply with Japanese sensibilities.
Teemu Järvi's worldview, which expresses living close to nature through art, has the power to blend seamlessly into Japanese life. That is why we decided to include his work in the lineup and introduce it to Japan.
