Cooee Design, hailing from Sweden, embodies a refined Nordic design aesthetic. This week's featured designer is Eddie Gustafsson.

The potential of contract spaces showcased by the Woody Collection—where warmth and sophistication come to life.

Eddie Gustafsson is a designer based in a studio surrounded by the rich natural landscape of Sweden’s Småland region.

In this area, where the design industry thrives, he defines himself as a "creative problem solver," consistently creating products that achieve a perfect harmony between functionality and aesthetics.

His design process is rooted in the observation of everyday life and a keen insight into social contexts.

He seeks not merely to create beautiful objects, but to develop solutions that make people's lives more comfortable and beautifully enriched.

His uncompromising sense of balance and refined approach have earned him high acclaim—extending beyond residential interiors to a wide range of contract projects, including hotels, restaurants, and office spaces.

The "Woody" collection, where minimalism meets functional beauty.

The "Woody" collection—a line of wooden interior accessories—stands as a signature work created by Eddie Gustafsson for Cooee Design, a brand renowned for its sophisticated Nordic aesthetic.

Every item in the "Woody" collection is crafted from FSC®-certified wood (primarily oak) sourced from responsibly managed forests, reflecting a steadfast commitment to sustainability—a crucial element of modern interior design.

"The essence of Woody's ideas lay in stripping away elements to the absolute limit to create pieces that were simple and beautifully formed."

As Eddie Gustafsson himself describes, it features a streamlined, minimalist form, yet the soft texture of the wood grain brings warmth to the space.

Diverse ideas for utilization in contract spaces

The diverse lineup of the Woody collection offers exceptional flexibility in creating environments for commercial facilities, offices, and hotel-style spaces.

Woody Table & Woody Stool

Oval and round café tables and stools are ideal for office lounge areas, hotel lobbies, and guest rooms.

Available in natural oak, dark oak, and black-stained finishes, they blend seamlessly with a wide range of interior concepts—from chic, modern spaces to warm, Nordic-style settings.

Woody Bird (Object)

This wooden object draws inspiration from traditional craftsmanship, capturing a sense of volume through its outer contours alone and achieving a minimalist form with a bare minimum of material.

Whether placed on a hotel reception counter, a shelf in a guest room, or as a display in a coworking space, it adds a touch of sophisticated playfulness and serves as an iconic accent.

Woody Basket & Woody Tray, Woody Hook

Baskets, trays, and wall hooks featuring sophisticated frame structures combine practicality with beautiful design, making them ideal for restaurant table settings, apparel shops, and high-end salon displays.

Woody Hook Tree

This freestanding coat tree and garment rack draws inspiration from natural groves and the spreading forms of branches and foliage. It transforms unused corners in entryways or offices into beautiful, functional spaces for storage and display.

Despite its compact, space-saving design, it offers exceptional stability and introduces a natural, organic accent to minimalist interiors.

A Choice for Creating a Space Loved for Years to Come

With its refined aesthetic, exceptional durability, and environmental commitment backed by FSC certification, the Woody collection offers quality that not only elevates the brand value of commercial spaces and offices but also brings a sense of refined comfort to private residences.

From spatial concepts for professional projects to interior accents that brighten up your everyday life—why not bring the Woody collection, with its blend of Nordic craftsmanship and timeless, functional beauty, into your own space and lifestyle?
